About Us & Our Work
Spectrum Construction Inc is run by a husband and wife team. We are Tim Dale and Amy Raymond. We met and were married on Whidbey Island.
We like the husband and wife combination. Our success is founded in taking care of each other as well as our clients. We designed and built our home and can empathize with the compromises our clients make to accommodate budgets, styles and needs.
Tim has been involved in the construction industry for more than 30 years. His earliest experiences included working in lumber mills in high school, providing him with a tremendous understanding of the wood products industry. Early in his career Tim also spent time in management at Nordstrom where he learned the importance of keeping a customer’s needs at the fore. After working a union carpenter for more than five years, Tim trained in the building-supply side of the industry and managed a busy lumberyard here on the Island for several years. Tim started Spectrum Construction in 1997. Tim’s career combines his expertise in management with carpentry and building supply – an ideal combination for a General Contractor. He well-known for his calm and as well for being an excellent problem-solver.
Tim spends his days out in the field, directly supervising all stages of work while Amy serves as our office manager/ inside project coordinator. She is familiar with the residential construction industry, having grown up among a family of structural engineers and enjoys the multi-disciplinary nature of custom home building. We are well equipped to help with every aspect of a custom home project!
