We wanted to show you how well the tricky remodel of the slightly older labor-of-love home turned out. If only the old fireplace was not so massively overbuilt, perhaps it could have stayed, but a striking custom made skylight now brings always much needed light into the living spaces, making the home bright and cheerful. Before the skylight could go on however, the roof had to have steel plates carefully laid or curfed inside existing beams and welded together on site. We had fun figuring it all out and owe great thanks to Jack Husband for being willing to engineer it all and to Rex Luckich at Greenbank Metalworks for his metal mastery. Please also check out Rex’s handrails he welded on site as well. Lots more light for this lovely home.
